Lussuliiva beach

Nasva küla, Hiiumaa vald

The Lussuliiva swimming beach is very child-friendly due to its shallow water and a cosy beach. The swimming beach as a whole is situated in the Väinamere Limited Conservation Area, which belongs to the Natura 2000 network. The purpose of the limited conservation area is to protect the bird species nesting there and different types of habitat. Within the territory of the swimming beach, there is a coastal meadow with low-growing plants. On the one hand, the development of the meadow vegetation has been influenced by the sea; on the other hand, it is shaped by humans as they mow or graze cattle. The coastal meadows are nesting and feeding grounds for many birds. Of the species that are under protection, the military orchid (Orchis militaris) and probably also the early marsh-orchid (Dactylorhiza incarnata) can be found here.

You can swim on your own responsibility, as this is not a designated beach and therefore has no lifeguard services.
