One hundred thousand tourists visit Hiiumaa every year. The only people who have slept under really cloudy skies are those who have chosen to do so. The island does not yet have a large hotel with hundreds of beds, but so far everyone has found a suitable room. There are plenty of choices – from ascetic camping huts to luxury boutique hotels.
In Hiiumaa you can really take your time and just feel good. Be on your own, take a walk in the woods, throw stones into the water at the beach, watch the stars in the night sky. It’s dark in Hiiumaa, with LED signs and street lighting so you can see into the night. In doing so, you may or may not be thinking – to put it in modern terms – meditating . In Hiiumaa, you can really do it, and the slowing down of time starts to rub off on the guests.
For those who want to come on holiday with their work, there is also a telecommuting office with a sauna and overnight accommodation by the sea in Hiiumaa.

If you are looking for something special, primeval and unique, this ancient sauna hut is the perfect place for you to spend a relaxed vacation in Hiiu County. The hut is made from large logs and has a thick sod roof. There is also a sauna.
Pähkli Primeval Hut is suitable for families with children, as they can create their own fairy tale and go on adventures. We also have everything necessary for the parents to have a relaxing vacation.
The hut has a kitchenette and a bonfire site in the garden. There are three cute alpacas in the courtyard.

Tiismani Villa is a renovated manor house with a long history. The house has five bedrooms, and each room has two beds, a private WC and shower. One of the rooms also has a luxurious bathroom.
You can book just one room or the entire house. On the first floor, there’s a hall for dining, spending free time and organising events. In the yard there’s a private parking lot for guests, as well as an area for barbecuing and a children’s playground.
Next to the Tiismani Villa is the Nuutri Villa with three bedrooms and a sauna.
Hõbekala Guesthouse is located in the westernmost tip of Hiiumaa, between the Ristna lighthouse and Surfiparadiis. The island’s most beautiful and diverse beaches, forests, and landscapes can all be seen within a kilometre.

We welcome guests at Hundi Holiday House all year round. We are located just 400 metres from the Kärdla Airport, so you can easily come here from Tallinn. As scheduled flights take place only a few times a day, it is not noisy here. Instead, it is interesting to watch see planes coming and going.
We offer a cosy house with a sea view on the edge of a forest for families and groups of friends. The granary is suitable for those looking for an experience. We also rent bicycles for exploring the surroundings. The barbecue house is suitable for smaller groups.

Roograhu harbour guesthouse is located right by the sea and is an ideal vacation spot for families and small groups of friends.
It offers beautiful views over the Tahkuna peninsula and the Hiiessaare lighthouse. You can explore the island by biking, hiking, or by setting sail in a yacht or a small boat. The guesthouse provides catering for groups of 20–80 people year-round (20 during winter).
We also welcome caravans.

The barque Hioma, which was built in Suursadam, Hiiumaa and was the first Estonian vessel to sail around Cape Horn, returned to its home in 1857.
The dignified customhouse that witnessed this historic event has now been turned into a beautiful guesthouse.
The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and are named after historical persons and ships of Hiiumaa: Count of Ungru’s room, Ebba Margaretha’s room, the Hioma room, and Andreas room. The guesthouse has a barbecue and offers a beautiful view of the sea.

The small holiday village Merejussi Holiday Houses is located a short walk away from Sõru harbour and Sõru pub. There are 2 two-storey holiday houses with balconies and 4 cabins with small outdoor terrace. Each holiday house accomodates 7 guests and each cabin 3 guests.
All houses have a shower and toilet, the bigger holiday houses also have for a cozy stay a fireplace and an electrically heated sauna. Each house has its own dome grill to enjoy a pleasant barbeque evening.
Wi-fi is available in bigger houses and also in the Summer Buzzing House (summer kitchen) for cabins guests.
Summer Buzzing House can accommodate 20-30 guests, right next to it is an outdoor terrace and fire place.
Supermarket, gas station, restaurants are 5-6 minutes by car in Emmaste village.

Heltermaa Hostel is a good place from where to start your exploration trips to the beautiful island of Hiiu. The rooms are simply decorated, have a seating area, and all rooms also offer a view to the sea.
Delicious meals and our pleasant employees are awaiting you. The hostel also has a sauna and a seminar room.
A safe and cozy hostel situated in part of the historical and fully renovated Suuremõisa castle complex, which is well-known in the local slang as the “girls’ house” and which dates back to the 18th century.
Accommodation is offered in two buildings, perfect for groups of friends holidaying together, business groups seeking a bit of peace and privacy, and couples just looking to get away from it all.
Randmäe Holiday Farm is located on the western coast of Tahkuna Peninsula, in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful Mangu sandy beach, which is also a nice swimming place for children.
Our farm has cosy cottages and outbuildings that have been decorated with furniture from the coastal Sweden era. There is also a magnificent smoke sauna.
Campers and caravans are also welcome. There is power supply, water supply, and the possibility to empty the toilet.
Kaluri Holiday Home is situated close to Sõru Harbour on the island of Hiiumaa. It is the perfect place for people coming from the neighbouring island of Saaremaa or those heading over there to spend the night. The holiday home is one part of a set of buildings that formed a fishing harbour complex in the last century.
Guests have at their disposal two light and airy bedrooms, a spacious living room and a wood-heated sauna. The bedrooms, which are on the second floor, enjoy amazing views out to sea and over Sõru beach.
Sõru Harbour is still a fishing spot, so if the weather is clement and it is not a restricted season, you can take to the water with the local fishermen and later prepare a meal from fish you’ve caught yourself!

Villa Kertelhof Guesthouse is located in Hiiumaa, in the centre of Kärdla. The dignified house on the main street was moved to Kärdla in the late 1930s from Õngu, where it served as a prayer house for many years.
Villa Kertelhof has tastefully furnished Scandinavian-style double rooms on the ground floor with private bathrooms. Extra beds are also available. On the second floor, there is a guest apartment with a balcony and two family suites with kitchens. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and parking.
From May 2021, the restaurant Näkimadala with a large outdoor terrace will be open in the garden wing of the guest house.
Kalurikodu Holiday Home is located in Hiiumaa in an old fully renovated log house.

The building was built in the middle of the 19th century and guests can stay in a threshing barn of two farms, located on the grounds of the former Lauka Manor, which has been restored into a holiday house. There are wooden details and hammered work crafted by on the basis of the drawings of a local artist.

Järveääre Holiday Centre provides accommodation service in Jõeranna Village, Kõrgessaare Rural Municipality, and it is located on the shore of Veski small lake. The average depth of the lake is less than 1 metre, but in spring it is full of fish. It is for example possible to catch roach, orfe, pike, etc., from the lake. The place is quite detached, thus calm rest is guaranteed for you. In the yard there is a playground, a barbecue area and lawn, where you can sunbathe, play sports games or pétanque, etc. A view of nature unfolds from rooms and a view of the beautiful lake unfolds from the little forest houses.
The cosy Purje Holiday House is located in the forests of Hiiumaa.
The small two-room log house has everything you need for a pleasant holiday: everything from a refrigerator to a washing machine. Here, you can listen to birds singing, go to a sauna, and barbeque. We are located only 8 km from Heltermaa Harbour and 1 km from a private port, where you can engage in various sea and water activities.

The Nurga Holiday Home complex, located in a very quiet and small village of Kaasiku, includes a main building, a white house, and a barbecue house.
The main building has three double bedrooms and a spacious living room with an open kitchen and a fireplace. The main building can be used all year round. The white house accommodates two people. The barbecue house has two five-bed rooms, plus an outdoor kitchen, a spacious seating area, and laundry facilities.
The complex also includes a sauna, where, after a refreshing sauna, you can go for a refreshing swim in a pond.
Tiiupesa Holiday Complex consist of two houses: Tiiupesa Main Building and Neitsiait.
Tiiupesa is a renovated granary dating back to 1890. The limestone fireplace is romantic and rustic, but there are also modern amenities. The cottage provides a splendid view of the sea from all its windows.
Tiiupesa Main Building is a log house with a wooden roof. There is also a fireplace. The sea is just 300 meters from the main building.
Neitsiait is the smallest of all of them. It is said that a spinster went to Luidja and after that, she got married. Please be careful!
The quiet and cosy farmyard of Männi Summer House in Kassari offers accommodation for a family or group of up to 6 people.
There is an old-style renovated granary, where you can have a pleasant and private rest.
Naturally, there is also a farm sauna and you can spend the evening sitting around the campfire. Children can enjoy a swing and a trampoline. There is also a cosy outdoor toilet.
The Holiday House in Nina Farm on Kassari Island, in the village of Orjaku, which is more than 750 years old, is located in a former smithy.
A new life has been given to the building by combining the old-time romance with modern comforts. The holiday house is perfect for families or small groups who enjoy the sea, nature, history, and culture.
Within walking distance, you will find a study trail, a birdwatching tower, the Orjaku harbour, and places for fishing.

The holiday house is located in Kassari 800 m away from the Orjaku harbour next to the Orjaku Manor House built in 1603. The holiday house offers various recreational activities: barbecue and sauna evenings, fish smoking or hikes along the hiking trail. The style of the building seeks to preserve and develop the typical features of a summerhouse: large terraces, a spacious hall filled with firelight, pastel tones. The house provides cozy accommodation all year round. First sunny days in March and the return of waterbirds may bring a pleasant respite between busy and stressful working weeks.
Valipe Holiday House is located in a beautiful place surrounded by forest and alvar. The place is private but there are sheep and horses next to the holiday home. Wild animals are very common here.
The holiday house is open all year round and can accommodate up to five people. The house has two bedrooms: one with a large bed and the other with two single beds. There is also the possibility of an extra bed. The house also has a kitchen/living room with necessary kitchen utensils, TV and radio, and a bathroom. It is possible to use a charcoal grill outside.

A traditional private farmhouse between junipers and stone gardens, a few hundred metres from the sea. Stone foundation, thatched roof, log walls – made of local materials, built by local men. The house was completed in 2020 and includes all amenities. There is a furnished kitchenette with an open-plan living area and you can enjoy the sun on the summer terrace.
The three-room cosy apartment is equipped with all the modern comforts.
The two-storey spacious studio will make you feel as cosy as if you were in your own home – actually, we hope that you will feel even cosier. You can admire the works of local artists on the walls.

Kalana Holiday Village is situated in a beautiful location at the top of the Kõpu Peninsula. Dagen Haus Guesthouse is located on Island Hiiumaa, next to the seaside, in the old granary of Orjaku manor. Stone buildings of the manor were built in the 1840ies. The main building has always been practical and modest. Granary of the manor, built around the same time, is one of the few preserved buildings, located in the very heart of the former manor complex.
The guesthouse is located at 100 m from the protected Orjaku ‘eye’ (inland gulf). It has been attempted to convey the spaciousness and serenity to all the second-floor bedrooms. Ceilings, fitted with wide beams, fragments of old floors, mixed and matched with glass walls and metal structures.
Padu Hotel offers accommodation in the middle of greenery and fresh sea air.
The cosy two-storey hotel is located on the edge of the city and features solid wood furnishings. In addition to accommodation, we offer a delicious breakfast and dinner in our cafe/bar.
The main building of the hotel has a reception, a cafe/bar, a sauna, and standard rooms with balconies. In the building next to the hotel, you will find spacious apartments with balconies, which are perfect for families. Wi-Fi covers the entire hotel.

The Keldrimäe Guesthouse is located in a former manor in the heart of Kassari village on the island of Hiiumaa. The manor was built in the 18th century and belonged to the Stackelberg family. Some of the original buildings and a yard with a partial limestone fence can still be seen.
The guesthouse has two floors with a total of four double rooms, a lounge with a TV, and a kitchenette.
The backyard has a cabin which is a scaled-down copy of an Egyptian pyramid, built in the same proportions which are oriented astronomically.
Several lovely barbecue spots and a campfire site are located between the limestone foundations of the former main building of the manor.
Hiiumaa Vocational School Dormitory provides comfortable accommodation in a renovated and cosy building, located just 6 km from Heltermaa Harbour and only a short walk from Suuremõisa Castle.
The dormitory sleeps up to 60 in single and twin rooms, all of which are en suite and have access to a shared kitchen. The basement level is home to a sauna and a recreation room with a kitchenette.

Pruuli Holiday Farm is close to Sõru harbour at the southern tip of Hiiumaa and can be clearly seen by those coming to the island by sea. The farm has been in in the family for centuries, but all of its existing buildings were constructed this century.
Guests can rent its brewery, which was built by the farmer himself using such local materials as stones from the surrounding fields, traditional Hiiumaa fired bricks, Ungru slate, timber felled on the land of the farmer’s father, and driftwood washed ashore during storms. The first floor offers a view of the sea and you can also see juniper bushes, sheep, and stone fences!
The romantic guest room ‘Lestatuba’ has a double bed and a pull-out sofa, where your children can sleep. The guest room offers a view of the spacious garden.

The territory of Kärdla Harbour has a caravan park with modern equipment, located on the beautiful seaside. The park is also suitable for the most demanding passengers.
Guests can enjoy the lovely harbour, visit the restaurants, or relax and barbecue in the recreation area.
The harbour building has washing rooms and a sauna, which has to be booked in advance.
Palade Retrovisiit Leili is a spacious, lovely and cosy guest apartment with a sauna in Pühalepa parish in Hiiumaa. The apartment is located in a homely cottage-cum-threshing-barn-type country house.
The apartment has a hallway, a spacious kitchen-living room, a sauna, a toilet, and two private bedrooms. The kitchen has the equipment and means necessary for cooking. The living room offers a view of the sunny courtyard and the garden has enough space for adults to barbecue and children to play.
In addition to flowers, there are raspberries, gooseberries, currants, apples, and damsons in the garden. Bike rental is free and the entire apartment has Internet.

Huusi Small Sauna House is located on Hiiumaa, in the lovely village of Hellamaa, on Huusi Farm.
The log house with two small bedrooms is suitable for couples or a smaller family.
Enjoy a pleasant and private sauna experience in the compact two-storey house. In the house, you will find a living room with a small kitchenette. There is also a terrace with outdoor furniture for a nice barbecue. The large and spacious garden awaits everyone to relax and have fun. You can also rent bicycles from us. The sea and a beautiful sandy beach are 5 km from Huusi Farm.

We offer accommodation in six separate holiday homes: Cabin boy, Seaman, Able Seafarer, Boatswain, Admiral, and Captain. You can also enjoy a genuine wood-heated sauna and a bathing barrel. The yard featuring junipers has a large camping ground with a campfire site and activities for children.
There is also a private parking area with a rest area for camping cars.
Within walking distance, you will find a sandy beach, an RMK birdwatching tower, a harbour for yachts and fishing vessels, and a restaurant in Suursadam Harbour. A trail follows the coastline and is suitable for getting some exercise or for walking.
